When I was shopping for a Seven in 2002 I met up at a Lotus Club event with Adam Mann (I believe) who used to own the special Birkin that was built for Tim Allen. He arrived with his toddler passenger in a child seat driving from Bakersfield.
I know that does not really help you because I don't know where he got the seat but at least it shows it can be done......

P.S.: Obviously I did not end up buying that car. VERY nicely built by Pete Challinor but a bit on the pricey side.

I seem to recall reading on Blatchat that a Volvo child seat fits nicely into the Tillet seats, but I don't ever recall reading which Volvo child seat fits (I assume there must be more than one).
edit -- BC discussion here (http://www.blatchat.com/t.asp?id=138518). Volvo part numbers given are 9464037 for the cushion and 9134551 for the back rest.
edit 2 -- The Volvo part numbers above don't produce any real hits in a Google search, but after some further searching, I suspect they refer to what Volvo currently refers to as 8639632 and 8639635 for cushion and back, respectively. But in the end, i simply don't know for sure.
