Have not heard from Brad for a while. What a shame he used to be one of the most active members and organizing a few good events.....at some point he was almost even with my number of posts here ;-)

So you claim.

I'm back in the U.S since 2 weeks, currently nursing a messed up shoulder (old sports injury).

I'll try to get my weekend schedules in order and book some events.

To find out what was making the strange noise from the bell housing.

The bit in the photos was the only thing left of whatever it was. It got between the bell housing and the flywheel gouging up the OD but not enough to leave the car apart for another week. Only cosmetic damage.

It was folded in half when removed, opened it up trying to ID.

We could find no source for this part from the clutch, pressure plate, T/O bearing, or flywheel.

The part seems to be the right thickness and hardness to be part of the clutch disk center section. As I had a new one lying about we put that in just in case.

No idea how this got in there, just part of the evil plot to keep Mopho from being able to relax while driving the car.

Engine back in now.

You can pull the engine without pulling the transmission.

Higher resolution photos available if you really want.

So how did the dime get in the bellhousing ?

He must've dropped two nickels in there earlier in the week...

Morgan,

This is not an amusement park, you don't have to insert coin to ride the attractions...
