Rear sway bar

Can anyone tell me how to install the rear sway bar on the Caterham Club Sport?
I was installing the rear suspension today and when it came to the rear sway bar it appeared as though it was almost one inch to short..... am I imagining things with the length, and is there a way to make it fit?

Any help for anyone that has installed the rear sway bar would be greatly appreciated.
