I perfer to drive without the side curtains, but the lack of side mirrors is bugging me. Has anyone found a solution? I saw one solution on a seven--a bicycle mirror mounted on a pin that fit in the side curtain hindge. Any other ideas or solutions out there?

The side mirrors of my Birkin are attached to the screen stanchions. I think these are actually Yamaha trail bike mirrors. You can see it here:

I know that Tom Jones (from the USA Sevens List) is trying to organize a group buy of carbon fiber mirrors, see here:

Just noticed something looking at the pics: You can not open the sidescreens 180 degrees like usual with a Caterham when you have the mirrors like my car. But that did not bother me so far.

Rick Longden @ SevenAccessories@aol.com in Manchester, UK makes side mirrors for the Seven using the side screen mounts.

I try not to drive without the side curtains, but I do put them on in the rain. So I do need another solution. I do drive around with the perspex wind deflectors, so both hindges are taken. Any other solutions out there?

The side mirros from SevenAccessories at UK allows you to mount the mirrors together with the wind deflector.

Thanks, I found the link, and I ordered a set. Here is the link for anyone else who might need it: http://www.graduates.org.uk/2002/mirror-details.html

All,
I am working with a company in Taiwan to get some side mirrors that are a replica of the SPA carbon fiber mirrors.
Here is the link to the mirrors. The mirror we are ordering is the
GPM02.

I am thinking of making a mount like the one here:

...but the mirrors don't come with this mount. They only come with the ball joint (with two mounting holes).
The mirrors should be about $50/pair. If you have any interest I need to know immediatly.

Tom,
Sign me up for a pair.
If the original mounts sucks too badly, I'll probably machine something better.

Hi Tom, I did not know that you were THE Tom Jones from other mail group buying the mirrors. Seems these nicknames do have a disadvantage....
Anyway, I hope you have me on your list as interested.

If it wan't for Seven Accessories it would be curtains for us all!

I do not have a chance to use my side mirrors from Seven Accessories yet. They are sitting in the garage. It is still too cold here in Houston for driving without the side curtins in the morning. Thanks for telling me that they work well.
