    Scott,

    It's a little far for me. :)

Many of the guys here run with the NASA events. There are also a number of se7en owners that for whatever reason (no good ones I'm sure) don't participate on the online sites like this. It's always nice to see them at the track though. :)

Do you have a link to the event? Perhaps that would help generate some interest?

I'd join you, but I'm between cars. :( I like to get out every month or two, and the Speedventures events are an easy way to get some track time. Hopefully in another month or two....

    Have fun!

Speedventures puts on a good event and Cal Speedway is fun. I race a couple of BMW's in SCCA and NASA endurance. My next race will probably be Cal Speedway in Feb.

So we should have seen you before. Both Jon (lime green very fast & dialed) Caterham & I (not so fast not so dialed) Caterham are out regularly. It's always nice to see the BMW guys (I own an e46 M3 & am a member of the CCA) when y'all come out for the enduros.

    Car number(s)?

RV8a: Yes, there are 1 of us on this list that regularly tracks their cars. Jon doesn't visit here at all. Both he and I watched a SpeedVentures event, which left us preferring NASA. It's a safety thing, and a competition thing. The threads regarding track events are there, if unread. Everyone else basically just does "blats" & coffee talks-alot things, and tours. As for the activity level here, well, it's always been small and likely always will be. You'll find that USA7s.org is more active in terms of postings, particularly for those w/ the off brand makes.

I'll be at the kart track that weekend practicing.

If I get some free time between sessions, I'll scoot over to the infield and try to say hi.

In 2009 we didn't get the usual crowd out for the NASA track days. In my case it's a matter of priority ($).

Previous years (2004-2008) a group of us have been at the NASA, Shelby, and AROSC events. Mostly Buttonwillow and Willow Springs with the occassional trip to Infineon and Thunderhill. We've had up to 15 cars but 4 to 7 fairly regular. That's in addition to the blats and tours.

Next year is looking better for track days.

Thanks for the replies, I don't feel so all alone any more, sniff sniff......

How about we pick a date in the future an see what kind of turn out we can get? I would love to track with other cars to see where I am faster/slower in comparison, since I am a bit portly!

What a great track day! I did not get the last session track times but the 3rd session I got a 1:51.387 and I don't think I got a clean lap the entire 3rd session. Come on 1:49's!!!

Hope to meet some of you guys at Willow Jan 23-24.

    Scott,

Fantastic time for a track that favors aerodynamics! What kind of speeds were you hitting on the big straight? I'm in San Diego as well. Would love to get together and see your car sometime.

    Scott,

Tried to meet up with you as my day ended early thanks to a broken axle, but they wanted $10 at the gate of the infield. Maybe next time...
