    Magnus, back from infant parenthood.

I'm up for a New Year's blat, unless it is raining.

    Time

How about 8 AM. 8:30 OK too.

    Place

Either at the 2 and the 210 at the Sports Chalet, to go up the 2 to Newcombs Ranch or the McDonalds at Valley Circle / Mulholland Dr. to drive to the Rock Store and other points in Santa Monica Mountains. Be advised there are other New Years day drives in the area.

Nah.....http://www.accuweather.com/en/us/pas...38137_pc?day=3 and with that name he must be wrong, anyway.

I am kind of in favor of Newcombs Ranch. But either way is fine.

OK, Newcomb's Ranch it will be.

Time 8:30 AM as mornings have been cold out here.

Let's meet at the parking lot just East of the Sports Chalet.

    Two Sport Chalet Dr.
    La Canada, Ca 91011

Essentially Foothill Blvd and Angeles Crest Highway, route 2.

There are a couple of gas stations right nearby.

    Please advise who is coming.

Destination subject to change depending on interest or whims.

Gert, please advise if your wife is coming.

No, she is still in Germany for another week.

I'll be there. Disclaimer: I did not move the car for a few weeks but being a good car I suppose it will start right away. I'll try this afternoon.

Intentional but not exactly by desire. I bet Rosie would rather be here now.

    Sorry. I'll think I pass.

Too far and too early the day after a new year party. It will also be a long initial run after having the car sitting for months. I need to do a shakedown run before I do any longer journeys.

I think I am going to be able to come, just turned the car over, seemed OK.
Might put the doors on for warmth....
Just have to set several alarm clocks by the bed as I will be out past midnight tonight.

Great pictures! Love the snow in the background. Must have been a chilly drive!

Yes, pretty cold. Small patches of ice, a little patch of slushiness. Lots of grit flying around from the freshly gritted road.
    Great fun though, thanks Doug.
Did you fix your ECU battery issue, btw?

I have not fixed the ECU issue. I'll try to get to it this week.

Thanks to both you and Gert for the assistance.

The problem is with my Pectel T6. At seemingly random times it won't work. Letting it sit for 10 to 20 minutes or shorting the internal battery 'fixes' the problem. At least until the next time. I will remove the battery as I believe it's only function is to retain logged data if disconnected from the battery.
