I am going to try to talk my wife into coming. I don't have a se7en as of yet, but if I can get her interested in one, my chances for getting/building one go way up. My Honda Fit is nice and practical, and does handle better than it looks, but is lacking in the horsepower to weight department.

I try to keep post #1 updated with current information, but I did not reply to it. Editing a post doesn't re-mark it as unread like it does when a reply is added, so I can see how the updates adding start time and plan could easily have been missed.

Also, I will be there before 10:00 to ensure we get a picnic area (it is first-come, first-served) and unload stuff.

heisssenberrg - Come on by. Probably your best chance to trial fit one.

when I signed up, I meant to only have 1 "r", but did a mistype. I have been heisssenberg on many forums for quite a large # of years. I don't watch Breaking Bad. It was a reference to a game me and some friends dreamed up when we were in Highschool.

OK now I can respond, and say I will be there, with my yellow Birkin 7, I just found a new clutch today , now all I have is put it back together, what a pain in the "A" it has been replacing my clutch !! So if if works out ok I will be there. NOW NEXT QUESTION can we do some driving? or just drink beer and kick tires , I know a lot of "twists" to the south, but not to the north, is there someone that can take us on tour of the local "twists " see you there , Dave L.

Lots of possibilities for a drive - one suggestion here, which at ~78 miles should be less than a full tank for even the thirstiest cars, and likely under 2-1/2 hours unless you make an extended stop somewhere mid-drive:

    Again, just a suggestion.

I will be making an effort to attend, from SoCal. I expect I'll overnight in Petaluma, at my daughter's. I'll probably bring her along if she's not working.

I am still hoping to get there but may change my plans at short notice.

I don't think I will be driving the Seven.

    Hi Sean,

Crush has begun in wine country. Grapes willing, Julie and I will be there. We look forward to meeting other Caterham owners and fans.

    Cheers, Jeff

    Hi Sean,

Dot & I are planning on coming. Driving down from Truckee on Friday afternoon & staying in a cheap Los Gatos motel.

I didn't know there was such a thing.

Great, Dave; looking forward to seeing you two there. Dang, a lot of people traveling a long way for a cook-out.

    Hi Sean,

I plan to attend. And if anyone has space for a passenger on the drive then I'd love to tag along. If not, no problem! I'll be happy just checking out so many 7's in one place.

I will be there and am bringing my wife and 2 other folks. Karen is a highschool friend with a Mini Cooper S on order. Her husband is coming, too.

I should be able to give rides as well as long as you can fit in the passenger seat. Also I'd recommend all prospective riders bring some impact resistant sunglasses. Personally I drive with a helmet at all times.

BTW the weather reports says a 20% chance of rain in Los Gatos.

Funny, as I checked Accuweather earlier today, and it indicated 77° and sunny for Saturday - and still does. But I notice other sites with the 20% rain figure. It'll be a good long time before mankind can accurately predict the weather!

Brings up a good point though, which is to bring at least a light jacket, as it is possible it could be a bit chilly on the drive in the forested hills, even if it is warm at the park. I'll add that and eye protection to the first post.

The machine shop didn't finish my cylinder head, so I will also need to hitch a ride with someone.

I'll bring a full face along.
