    Default Happy New Year

Wishing everyone at CCC the very best in 2018.
I'm hoping to be more active and get more use out of my Birkin this year!

    Happy New Year to all.

Now that all of that is over I am pulling my engine to replace the water pump. If anyone has any experience on pulling a Lotus Twincam out of a Caterham I'd appreciate any advice.

I ran at the Golden Gate Lotus Club event at the Streets of Willow and had a great time. However, the water pump sounded like I was dragging a shopping cart from Von's behind me. The consensus is that the water pump is history. while I'm at it I am going to explore solutions to the Twincam right hand turn oil pressure issue. It's either a baffled pan, accusump, or dry sump. Again, any advice is appreciated..

Have you checked with Dave Bean Engineering?

He used to sell a water pump conversion so that you didn't have to remove the entire front of engine to replace the water pump.

He may also have a solution to the oil pressure issues.

Yes, talked with Ken. The have the pieces but need to have the final machining done. I will see if their completion coincides with my schedule. I am sure it is the right way to go.
But, it's all about the journey...
