    Default Ok, I am back.

I am now back in the U.S. after over a month spent in Sweden. Sorry for my absence, I'll try to get more engaged in the club from now on.

The state of my car, right now, is that I still haven't reassembled it since I got it back from the shop in the beginning of Dec, and the f*cking rust bubbles have reappeared. I'll call and yell at people tomorrow.

Welcome back. We were beginning to wonder if....

    1. You were gone for good because of your foray into the aftermarket, or

    2. You were sooo busy in the laboratory building the hypa-SV, keeping silent until you could spring a huge Blitzkrieg on-track this year.

Good to see it isn't either (is it?).

We've been keeping really really fine weather for you in your absence, which you can now enjoy along w/ us. Regards to Miwako - we're looking forward to seeing you both, and your car of course, soon.:)

    Hello Chris,

Miwako and I will be moving northward to get closer to her new job (http://clivewilkinson.com/) in W. Hollywood. Manhattan Beach is the area we are looking at currently, but we are open for suggestions.

The Duratec is still pretty much where I left it, but I am talking to Pace Products about a dry sump, which would be the final part I need.

Yeah, what Gert said. You sure you want to stay near the beach? Too much traffic thereabouts and certainly not easy to get in a casual 30 minute blat, particularly one like those to be had in the hills around Art Center. Then there's the 405 factor to add to those track weekend hauls (you will be coming out to the track, won't you?).

Front range of the San Gabriels is sunnier and drier too. No more bubbling paint and suchlike...

Oh, and garages, w/ room for working on the car, and RV parkin' for the trailer:D

Edited to add: Be careful when working w/ architects Miwako. Just ask Barb. Edited again to ask: Is Clive English, and an avid bicyclist? If so, I know the man. Totally obsessed bike guy when I knew him (years ago).

Edited again to add: Conventional wisdom these days is that the dry sump is extra weight and arguably more liability than asset (if the belt breaks so does your engine!). The wet sump I have has been utterly reliable oil pressure-wise on multiple track days. It's the Raceline one.

Clive is South African, but I believe he speaks with an english accent. I'll check with Miwako.

When choosing a place to live, we need to compromise between her and my commute; it seems like Manhattan Beach is the best spot so far.

    Smile welcome back

    Hi Magnus,

Welcome back! Best of luck with the house hunting. I've never lived down there, but find Manhattan beach is a nice place to visit! :D

    Cheers,
